I’m pretty much done with making photographs. I started out fifty years ago making single photographs. That is where my photographic process stopped back then. I’m not doing that much anymore. I might print a half dozen to ten photographs in any year. I’m creating a lot more images and a lot more art than I have in the past.
The reason is simple. My art projects now begin with images. I create small projects, publish them as Adobe Acrobat documents and share them on my website. Digital image files are now part of the raw material for my art. The images tell a story, I add words to enhance the audience’s experience and publish them on my website.
What used to be the final product (a photograph) of my photography is now the starting point.
